Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026.
AppMunchies is based in the United States. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain English — no fake legalese.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google (via Supabase), we store your email address, the public creator handle you choose, and the submissions you upload — title, description, video, and any optional links or prompts you add.
How we use it
We use your email to tell you about your submissions, and — if you've joined our email list or submitted a video — for occasional AppMunchies news: welcome notes, milestones (like "your video passed 1,000 views"), and launch updates. Never spam, never sold.
Approved videos are published on the AppMunchies website and, when we distribute them, on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a pre-launch gate cookie. We also use first-party, cookie-based anonymous analytics (page views and link clicks, tied to an anonymous id — never sold or shared with third parties) to understand how people use the site. No ad tracking, no third-party trackers.
YouTube / Google API Services
AppMunchies uses YouTube API Services. By using AppMunchies, you're also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We connect a Google/YouTube account only to upload approved videos to the AppMunchies channel and to read video statistics — nothing else. The only YouTube data we store are the video IDs and public statistics (views, likes, comments, subscriber counts and similar) of the videos we uploaded to our own channel; we don't collect or store any other YouTube user data. If a video is removed from AppMunchies, its YouTube data is deleted from our systems within 30 days, and revoking access deletes any stored authorization tokens. You can revoke that access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
